Who we are
Te Kahui Rongoā Trust is dedicated to empowering Tangata Whenua.
Upholding our inherent right to govern our own mauri ora and mana, we remain united and adamant that the crown have no place regulating Rongoā.
We are 20 rohe elected trustees that encompass a national perspective, advocating for the wisdom and knowledge of Rongoā practitioners and katiaki.

Planning Hui
Recently the trustees held a planning hui in Whakatane. It was the first time that a kanohi ki te kanohi hui was held, since the trustees were elected in October 2022. Previously, all trustee hui were held online. The mahi undertaken at the two day hui included whakapapa of the trust, the Trust’s position regarding the Therapeutic Products bill, building key relationships including with WAI262 roopu, strategic planning and kaupapa confirmation, and discussing the Trust’s position on alternative therapies, technology and research. Regional reports were also presented by trustees. The hui provided a wonderful opportunity for trustees to strengthen ties, exchange knowledge and views and plan for the future. The mahi continues.
